Hope Is On The Other Side

Hope is on the other side of fear. Wherever you are in life, whatever your circumstances, my wish for you is to see that just by choosing to wake up everyday and take on tomorrow, that alone makes you a warrior of hope.

You may see the world as being a vengeful place because of the chaos that exists in the world right now, but know that you can change the way you see the world. We see war in our world because there is a war in our heart… the battle is between good and evil. Our environment is a direct reflection of what is going on inside of us. Imagine that, the chaos in the world being a reflection of what is in the heart of man. The battle we really should be fighting is the battle between our ego/selfish nature and the higher nature (Atman) of our true Self. In Yogic philosophy the Atman is considered to be the soul, our true identity. Right now the only work that truly matters, is our spiritual work, getting to know the Atman. The more you work on your spirituality the more you will remember who you are and why you are here. This is the only way to change your view of the world.

The Upanishads, which is the last book of the Vedas (oldest yogic literature), are devoted to a theological and philosophical speculation on the nature of the world and man. In volume one, the Upanishads describes hope as being more powerful than memory. It says “He who meditates on hope as Brahman (source), all his desires are fulfilled by hope, his prayers are not in vain; he is, as it were, lord and master as far as hope reaches– he who meditates on hope as Brahman.” As long as you can hold onto the thought of hope, you can shift the energy of any memory. Anything that has ever happened to you in this life or any past lives, including the lives of your ancestors, has left an impression on your soul. That impression is what we call memories. You may carry memories in your psyche that you don’t even know about because they are buried deep within your subconscious.

This is part of your job as a spiritual being, learning how to uproot the subconscious memories of your past and correct the disorder or distress. In order for you to know where you are going, you must first remember where you came from.

When the entire world around you wants to show you fear, remember YOU OWN HOPE… it is your BIRTHRIGHT! All you have to do is go within and meditate on hope. It can be as simple as repeating the word until you start to feel a shift. You can ask yourself what hope means to you, and meditate on that. You can look at a picture that makes you feel hopeful and meditate on that. Meditate on a quote about hope.

Hope to me is putting a smile on someones face when they are having a bad day. Hope to me, is knowing that even in the dark, you can find the light. Hope to me is when I choose to look at the glass half full instead of half empty. Hope to me is the knowledge that comes with knowing who I am and where I come from. Hope to me is that song thats lyrics speak to my soul at the very moment I need it. https://youtu.be/YNd-PbVhnvA

Remember no matter how dark things get in the outside world, if you can turn to the lamp within you, you will never feel lost. The Holy Spirit is always there to guide you, you just have to communicate clearly and follow the path of God. When you follow someone else’s path or the path of our ego/selfish nature, it will always end in suffering. Transcend your circumstances, your ego beliefs, and follow your heart. If you don’t know how to do that, just follow what makes you feel good. Follow what fuels your passions.

Hope can be found in the most unlikely places, all you have to do is open your heart eyes.
