Sometimes you step in sapp and it sticks to the bottom of your foot. The sapp seeps into the pores of your skin and becomes difficult to remove. If you leave it, it starts accumulating dirt and dust particles as time goes by. If you try and just use water to remove it, you may not get all of the stickies out. This type of job calls for water and soap. The lather between the soap and water will lift the sapp off the skin, and wipe it clean. Depending on how much sapp you got stuck to you it may take a couple of washes to remove it completely. Our bodies work the same way. When we are in-active our insides get sticky, and begin to accumulate toxins and debris. Disease and illness can flourish if we don’t purify the body daily. Yoga is to the body, like the combination of soap and water is to sapp. It removes all impurities from the body and the mind. Yoga helps to cleanse and purify the internal organs of the body and through practice of the asanas the body prevents the accumulation of waste products. Helping to rebalance a diseased body or maintain an already healthy body.
We are only given one body in this lifetime. What better way to give love and appreciation to your body than by keeping it clean?
